The SR300-CA's body is built from agathis, a solid yet lightweight tonewood that shares similar tonal properties as the much more expensive mahogany. Agathis is capable or producing dense low to mid end rumble with smoothed out upper frequency range. Being a lightweight wood it lends itself well to those who're looking for an instrument that won't cause them to expend too much energy during a gig.
Ibanez neck designs are amongst the most coveted in the world of guitar manufacturing and the 5-piece maple/rosewood creation on the SR300 is no exception. Built to deliver the most accessible and fast-playing profile possible - whilst ensuring that string resonance is given the perfect platform - this neck is a dream to play. The 24-fret rosewood fingerboard opens up a world of creativity and exploration. The neck and fingerboard tonal characteristics balance out the overall tone of the bass by giving the mid to treble range more depth and snap to the strings' attack.
The enhanced Style Sweeper EQ section - with specific Bass, Mid and Treble EQ controls - gives you enormous control of the EXF-4-F and EXF-4-R pickups. This allows you to craft your sound so that you can dip in and out of any musical style/genre you desire.
Sealed die-cast tuners ensure that once you set the strings to the tuning you desire, it remains intact throughout your performance. The slick aesthetic is completed with all chrome hardware.
