The GSR180 is equipped with passive PSNDJ pickups in the neck and bridge positions, offering a wide range of tones, which are all achievable by using the delightfully simple control setup consisting of a master tone control, and two volume level controls for each pickup. Finding the perfect tone for your performance couldn’t be easier. For example, if you’re looking for a fat, saturated tone, then drop the high end, boost the low, and ramp up the bridge pickup level to get a beefy metal snarl. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a much tighter response, adjust the tone control to put the emphasis on mid to high frequencies, roll back the bridge pickup, turn up the neck pickup, and you’re in business. The setup is very simple, and those who’re new to the bass will be plucking out a tone to suit them in next to no time.
